What is Homecare?
Home Care refers to a range of care that we can offer our clients both in terms of length of visits to regularity of visits. Some of our clients just need a daily visit from our Care Assistants to help them organise for the day such as meal prepping, cleaning and shopping. Whereas other clients need more frequent visits to help them with more involved activities such as bathing and getting dressed. We don’t believe it’s possible to deliver quality care in a 15 minute visit, so we don’t offer this. Our preferred minimum care visit is one hour – and by that we mean a full 60 minutes, as we travel in our own time, not yours. This allows us the time to listen to our clients and get to know them well, to complete tasks properly and to observe any changes in their health or well-being and respond accordingly.
What happens after initial contact?
Before any care can be organised, and in accordance with CQC regulations, we will visit you in your home to discuss your requirements. Following this meeting, we will produce a comprehensive care plan that will cover all of your needs as well as setting out our various responsibilities. This can be changed and updated at any time to reflect your needs and desires.
Respite Care
Sometimes our clients are in hospital but need a Care Plan to be arranged before they can return home. We are happy to visit you in hospital to discuss your requirements. We will also liaise with your loved ones and the healthcare professionals to ensure everything is in place ready for your return. Our aim is to provide you and those around you with the peace of mind that your care is in safe, professional and responsible hands.
